South Creek Trail

Our Trail Route & Notes

From the parking lot, cross the bridge and go right on Cross Marin Trail. We followed the paved trail past all the campsites, past the bridge, all the way out of Samuel P Taylor. We turned around when we saw the marker for Jewell Trail. On our return, we took the two short trails – both called South Creek Trail – that follow parallel to Cross Marin Trail.

This is a very easy walk. Points of interest include the Old Dam Site and Old Paper Mille Site. There are signs along the trail with some historical information about the park, which makes this simple hike a little more interesting. I prefer dirt trails to paved ones, but at least you can bring dogs here, which is rare for a state park.

Both Cross Marin Trail and the South Creek Trails are considered accessible trails.
