Trail Route & Notes
From the parking lot, walk around the ball fields to the main trailhead. Keep on the fire road until the next left turn. There are two trails there—cross the bridge onto Waterfall Trail. Continue straight, past the sign for the Ken Harth Trail. The trail climbs and turns quite a bit. Towards the top, there’s a crossroads; take the one straight ahead for the Jack Burgi Trail, then at the next marker, go left onto the Clark-Melone Trail. The trail is hard to see at first but the marker is really obvious. Follow the Clark-Melone Trail down back to the fire road.
I loved this entire hike. It’s not too long and the landscape varies enough to make it very interesting considering its short length. I’ve hiked at Indian Valley in summer and winter, and it’s great regardless of the season.
